Two pre-meeting tour options are available on Monday afternoon for those attendees who will arrive early. Attendance is limited thus you must register for the tour when you complete the registration page. Participants will be emailed more details prior to the Conference.
Tour 1 will provide an in-depth view of the biomass processing and conversion laboratories operated by Auburn University’s Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts, and collaborating departments of Biosystems Engineering; Chemical Engineering; and School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences. Unique laboratories include bench and pilot-scale gasification reactors and catalytic liquid fuel reactor systems.
Tour 2 will visit Caterpillar’s Forest Products Assembly Plant in LaGrange, Georgia. The plant, which is a short drive from Auburn, assembles Caterpillar’s line of wheeled skidders and feller bunchers and their FM line of tracked loaders, processors, and feller bunchers. If you would like to participate in one of the pre-conference tours, the meeting information is listed below:

If you would like to meet at the Caterpillar site, please arrive at (Caterpillar Forest Products, 100 S.L. White Boulevard, LaGrange, GA 30241) by 2:30 pm (EST).
Please note that LaGrange is in the Eastern time zone. Tour participants coming from Atlanta should be at Caterpillar for a tour start time of 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Tour participants coming from Auburn should meet in the AU Hotel south parking lot for a departure time of 12:30 PM Central Standard Time.
